Per project, not per seat
Most tools charge by user count. Marcus doesn't. You pay for the websites or apps you publish, not the people who edit them. Invite your entire team to collaborate on a project at no extra cost. If you're building three client sites, you pay for three projects. If fifteen people need access to those sites, that's still three projects.
This matters when you run an agency, manage multiple brands, or work with freelancers. You don't need to calculate seat licenses or remove users to stay within budget. A project is a website or web app with its own domain. That's what you're charged for.
Free tier
The free tier gives you one project with up to five pages. It's hosted on EU servers, includes the full Marcus editor, and lets you publish to a marcus.love subdomain. You can invite collaborators, test the AI builder, and export your site as a ZIP file if you decide to host elsewhere.
The free tier is not a trial. It doesn't expire. Use it to learn the platform, prototype ideas, or run a small personal site indefinitely. When you need more pages, a custom domain, or additional projects, upgrade to Builder.
Builder: €29 per project per month
Builder is €29 per project per month when billed monthly. Each project includes unlimited pages, custom domain connection, SSL certificates, and full access to the AI editor. You can create as many projects as you need. If you're managing five client websites, that's €145/month total. Add a sixth project, pay €174/month.
Builder projects get priority AI generation, faster rebuild times, and removal of Marcus branding from the published site. Export remains available at this tier. You still host with Marcus by default, but you own the code and can leave whenever you want.
Annual billing drops the price to €23.20 per project per month (20% discount). You pay €278.40 upfront per project per year instead of €348. For multiple projects, the savings add up quickly.
Studio: €290/month for up to 25 projects
Studio is designed for agencies, product teams, and anyone managing more than a handful of sites. €290 per month covers up to 25 projects. That works out to €11.60 per project when you use the full allocation, compared to €29 on Builder.
Studio includes everything in Builder, plus API access for programmatic builds, white-label options to remove all Marcus branding and customize the editor interface, and dedicated support with faster response times. You also get access to beta features before they reach other tiers.
If you need more than 25 projects, volume pricing kicks in. The per-project rate decreases as your count grows. Contact the team for a quote if you're managing 50, 100, or more sites. Most agencies find Studio cost-effective once they hit around 10-12 active client projects.
Annual billing and discounts
All paid plans offer 20% off when you pay annually instead of monthly. Builder drops from €29 to €23.20 per project per month. Studio drops from €290 to €232 per month. You're billed once per year, and the discount applies automatically when you select annual during checkout.
There are no additional discounts for nonprofits, students, or startups at this time. The pricing is already per-project, which tends to be cheaper than seat-based models for small teams. If you're running a registered nonprofit managing dozens of projects, reach out—volume pricing on Studio may cover what you need.
What you get in each tier
Free includes one project, five pages max, marcus.love subdomain hosting, the full AI editor, collaboration with unlimited users, and ZIP export. Builder adds unlimited pages, custom domains, SSL, priority AI, and branding removal. Studio adds up to 25 projects in one subscription, API access, white-label customization, and dedicated support.
All tiers run on EU-hosted infrastructure by default. All use Anthropic Claude as the underlying AI model. All let you export your code. The differences are in scale, speed, and how much control you need over branding and automation.
How billing works in practice
When you upgrade a project from free to Builder, billing starts immediately. You're charged €29 (or €23.20 annually) and the project renews each month on the same date. If you archive or delete the project mid-cycle, you still pay for the full month—there are no partial refunds.
Studio subscriptions work the same way but cover your entire project pool. Add a 26th project and you'll be prompted to adjust your plan or contact sales for volume pricing. You can downgrade projects back to free at any time. Downgraded projects lose their custom domain and revert to five-page limits, but the content stays intact.
